A Bit About Me

Being born in 1992, I have always felt that I grew up with a unique relationship with media. I'm just old enough to remember dashing to the kitchen during commercial breaks for snacks, but young enough to witness the rise of the internet and the proliferation of social media.  Growing up in a media landscape so prone to change and wild experimentation has impressed upon me the need to always be on the lookout for the next thing to take over our collective attention.

While studying Mass Media at the Grady School of Journalism, I spent almost all of my time outside of studying at the radio station. WUOG 90.5 FM was my home away from home, a forum to exchange ideas and a platform to try my hand at making content of my own. I value my time there in the same regard as the work that earned my degree, and owe so much to the people and experiences that shaped me as a professional creative and communicator.

Following graduation I started my decade long career with ECG Productions. Being part of a scrappy and hungry team gave me the benefit of experience in all aspects of video production. Every project was another opportunity to punch above our weight class and I had the honor to meet those challenges alongside the talented creatives on the ECG team. I have had the privilege to learn on the job from the best directors, writers, gaffers, producers and editors in the Atlanta video production industry. I am immensely proud of the work I've done at ECG and eternally grateful from the guidance received there.

One of the few constants I have witnessed throughout my career is that while things don't remain the same for long, there are always lessons to be gleaned from the events, styles and techniques of the past. While audience tastes change quicker than they can be identified, it remains true that people will always seek community and authenticity. The content we create, be it commercial or informational; should look our viewers in the eye and let them feel seen and understood. As my career continues I hope to find more and more opportunities to utilize the skills and perspective I have gained, learn from the challenges I face, and teach others so that they might do the same.
